Wealth of Generations is singer-songwriter/cultural industries scholar Rebecca Lee Johnson and writer/producer/multi-instrumentalist Gene Bryan Johnson, a Los Angeles-based daughter/father team that has been making art, and arguing about discussing ideas, for longer than either can remember (though Mum insists that the first disagreement had something to do with Barney vs. Billy Strayhorn).

Wealth of Generations is their first EP since Rebecca Lee earned a doctoral degree from USC Annenberg’s interdisciplinary PhD program, though they released recordings under various names on experimental labels in Europe and Japan while she was in college. When she’s not practicing, writing or recording, you’ll find her teaching the popular LA Music from Central Avenue to the Hollywood Bowl to New York University students who are studying in Los Angeles.

Gene Bryan, a certified hermit, occasionally pokes his head out of their studio/office with a song, story or something else to interrogate as their family quarantines together.
