Wealth of Generations is singer-songwriter/cultural industries scholar Rebecca Lee Johnson and writer/producer/multi-instrumentalist Gene Bryan Johnson, a Los Angeles-based daughter/father team that has been making art, and
arguing about discussing ideas, for longer than either can remember (though Mum insists that the first disagreement had something to do with Barney vs. Billy Strayhorn).
They released recordings on experimental labels in Europe and Japan while she was in college but Wealth of Generations is their first EP since Rebecca Lee finished graduate school at USC Annenberg. BTW when she’s not writing or practicing she teaches the popular course LA Music from Central Avenue to the Hollywood Bowl to New York University students studying in Los Angeles.
